JOHN AND SKYE MAKE THE GRADE
After an assessment in horrendous weather at Haweswater, John Leadbetter and his border collie bitch Skye were announced as the latest team to join SARDA Lakes. John has been a longstanding member of Duddon and Furness MRT, now as a handler he brings a fantastic and valuable resource into the area. A fantastic result for John and Skye and many congratulations from us all.......
SAMWORTH CHARITY EVENT RAISES £12,000 FOR THE TEAM
On the 8th June '09 DFMRT supported the Samworth Brothers Corporate Charity event, based in Coniston. At the end of a great day helping to run the event the Team was presented with a cheque for £12,000. This money has gone towards the purchase of a new Land Rover Ambulance. Many thanks to Samworth Brothers. The new vehicle will be in operation as of 26th September '09.
